2013 Conservation Roundup
As the year draws to a close, the outdoor industry can look back with pride at what has been achieved in its name for conservation. The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), a charity bringing together 110 companies working in the industry to raise money to protect, enhance and restore the wild spaces so loved and valued by outdoor enthusiasts has announced what has been acheived in the last 12 months.
Two new members sign up for conservation
Technical footwear company La Sportiva and alternative bottle specialist Klean Kanteen are working together to support conservation by becoming the most recent companies to join the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA).
OutDoor 2013 Round Up - 108 Members and over €100,000 for Conservation
As the dust settles after the OutDoor show, the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) can look back at its most successful show to date: €18,000 raised for next year’s conservation projects, six new members signed up during the four days, plus a further 2 since the show ended! Add that to the 23 companies that joined in the first 6 months of this year and you have an association that has grown by over 30% so far this year.
Championing Conservation at OutDoor
There was an air of celebration at this year’s OutDoor party in Friedrichshafen as the names of the 2013 Conservation Champions and Summit Members of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) were announced.
Snow leopards, Orangutans and Mountain Bikers: EOCA conserves wild places for the Outdoor industry
During the first day of the OutDoor trade fair in Friedrichshafen, the European OutDoor Conservation Association (EOCA) will be unveiling the 8 conservation projects it will be funding this year. In total, €181,000 is being committed to conservation by the association this year, ensuring that vital conservation work can take place around the world.
EOCA, which will also be celebrating signing up its 100th member at the fair, puts 100% of all the membership fees it receives from its members into conservation work, together with 100% of all monies it raises at OutDoor and other shows. Each project that EOCA funds can apply for up to €30,000 for their work.
EOCA scores its first Century!
The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) is delighted to announce that it has now signed up 100 member and partners. This milestone, achieved in just 7 years, will be celebrated at this year’s OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen.

Raising funds for conservation will be, as ever, high on the list of priorities for the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) at ISPO. To this end, EOCA members have stepped up to help in several events to raise money for projects to be supported in 2013.
