The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) is delighted to name Es Tresidder as its first Ambassador.
Es, who is sponsored by EOCA member Mountain Equipment, has set some incredible speed records in mountain running, put up numerous summer and winter climbing routes and was the top placed British Team member in the ski mountaineering world championships individual race in 2011. In addition to this, he is currently doing a PhD in environmental architecture due to his concern about climate change and related environmental problems. As an Ambassador for EOCA, he will act as an advocate for the association, and share his passion for conservation in the great outdoors.

Tanya Bascombe, Joint General Manager of EOCA said, “We are delighted to be working with Es. His combination of a thorough understanding of environmental issues and his passion for excelling in outdoor activities make him well placed to act as an ambassador for the association”.
Es commented that “From spending considerable amounts of time in mountainous regions, I have seen first hand the impact of climate change on glaciers, snowlines and flora. The impact of unsustainable tourism practices is also very evident. For these reasons I am delighted to have the opportunity to support and promote an organization which makes a real difference in supporting conservation in the great outdoor environments”.
Richard Woodall, Marketing Manager for Mountain Equipment added “ Es is a very dedicated athlete, who we are very proud to be working with. In addition, his passion for conservation and the environment make him an ideal advocate for EOCA which we are delighted to be a member of”.
